Frequently Asked Questions
What’s Involved With Staging a Home?
We take inspiration from your property, current trends, interior design, and classic and modern design techniques to transform your property. We make your design dreams become reality to increase your homes’ profitability.
Rooms that can be staged include but are not limited to:
Living Room
Kitchen
Primary Bedroom
Dining Room
Can I Live In The Property Or Does It Need To Be Vacant To Be Staged?
We offer both vacant and occupied stagings. We can incorporate some of your most treasured items, use only pieces from our warehouse, or anything in between.
How Far In Advance Do I Need To Contact You For A Staging?
A consultation needs to be done at least 2 weeks prior to the day staging begins.
How Long Does the Install Take?
Generally speaking, installation usually takes 1-2 days but the time can vary. We won’t leave you wondering though. After we do a walk-through at the consultation appointment, we’ll provide an install time and date specific to your property and staging needs.
Can I Stage My Own Home?
While we’re sure you’ve decorated your home to the best of your ability, it’s your home. It holds memories and perceptions you may not even realize you have. By bringing in professional certified stagers, we’re looking at your home with a different perspective: to appeal to others and sell it.
I Had My Home Professionally Decorated I Don’t Need To Stage
The first question we would ask is, how long ago did you have it decorated? If it’s been more than 5 years, trends come and go. Remember avocado green refrigerators? Laminate flooring? Wallpaper in the kitchen? Those were all the rage at one time and then quickly fell out.
When we stage your home, we’re doing more than decorating.
We look for trends in the real estate industry.
We look at what people resonate with.
We use design trends and color schemes to play up the areas people will love.
We use our experience to play down the areas that might cause concern.
We’re sure your home is beautiful. Our job is to highlight that beauty and make it appealing to prospective buyers.
What Makes Staged to Sell Different From Other Stagers?
Melanie’s background in design certainly stands out, but the biggest difference is that Melanie is also a practicing real estate agent. She helps people buy and sell homes all day, every day, and has even staged her own properties.
She has an inside view of what’s trending in the real estate industry and specifically what buyers and sellers are looking for in the Twin Cities. Melanie is an amazing designer and a fantastic colorist, but it’s her experience in real estate that sets her apart from the rest.
